　　Boyz Ⅱ Men将60年代的 Matown音乐加入了更为丰富的内涵，使这一曾经倍受人们喜爱的音乐形式重新受到了乐迷们的青睐。作为田园歌手代表的“Boys Ⅱ Men” 崇高朴实自然，有清水芙蓉般的曲风。乐队还擅长演绎多种风格的情歌，DOO-WOP、R & B及节奏舞曲.
　　1991年5月，Boyz II Men发行了处女专辑Cooleyhighharmory,该名源于1975年一出名为Cooley High的黑人喜剧。这张专辑取得了巨大的成功。其中的第一首单曲《莫顿菲利》（Motownphilly）在6月份的排行榜(Billboard)上排到了第三，第二首单曲《与昨日难以说再见》(It\'s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday)(也是源于Cooley High剧中一首曲子)在10月份时升为亚军曲目。迄今为止，这张专辑仅在美国的销量就超过了700万张.

　　1993年10月，Boyz II Men发行了一张《圣诞放送》(Christmas Interpretations)专辑。其中《下雪吧》(Let It Snow)在第一周就以第32名的成绩打入前40名，专辑本身也挤身至前20名. 之后，Boyz II Men成了R&B唱片公司的一切从开创新纪元的招牌人物。他们的外貌以及平和的风度成为青少年的偶像。媒介分别给予他们的评价是：Wanya热情奔放，Nate严肃认真，Shawn柔美成熟而Mike秉承了黑人的传统品质。
　　1994年9月，乐队发行了专辑《两个男孩，两个男人》(Boyz II Men II)。《两个男孩，两个男人》是在西南部沙漠中一处名叫“ 外婆的家”（Granny\'s House）的录音棚中录制的。其中的第一首单曲I\'ll Make Love to You是与Babyface乐队合作的。该曲盘踞的排行榜榜首长达14周。平了Whitney Houston曾创上的纪录。而与Jimmy Jam、Terry Lewis合作的第二首单曲《弯曲的膝盖上》（On Bended Knee）跟着冲上来，占据榜首6个星期。连续两首名列排行榜，在以往的音乐史上只有“猫王”和披头四乐队做到，Boyz II Men 又创造了一个奇迹。唱片发行的前四月在世界范围内就售出了600万张，最终仅在美国就销售了1100万张，并夺得了格莱美（Grammy）、美国音乐奖(American Music)、NAACP形象奖、Soul Train等大奖。
